Can I Off- Set Short Term Capital Loss On Debt Fms Against Long Term Gain On Sale Of Equity Shares?

I sold equity shares last year incurring long time capital gain. I also redeemed some debt mutual funds incurring short term capital loss. Can I offset short term loss on debt MFs against Long Term gain on sale of equity shares?

  1. Long Term Capital gain on sale of Equity Shares is exempt U/s 10 (38). so No question of set off. u cant set off such situation
