  1. yada yada yada might be exagerating just a tad. The propectus of the fund should have all the information that you require. You can down load it at the fund web site. yada is certainly correct on one point. Most mutual funds have a fee for early withdrawal of funds–non front end load funds. Some are 30 days and some are 90 days and some may even be longer. Some front end loaded funds have different plans that include back end loads.
    Closed end funds are traded like stocks, but they do have expenses that are similar to open ended funds.
